Concept

"NeuroCellular Congruence"

This theory suggests that perception is not only shaped by the mind’s cognitive processes but also mirrored at the cellular level, where both the psyche and the body’s cells reflect each other’s state. For healing to occur—whether emotional, mental, or physical—the perceptions of the mind and the cells must be in congruence. In other words, the mental and cellular perceptions must align in order for true healing to take place.

In this framework:

  • The Mind’s Psyche Perception: The mind shapes how we interpret reality, including our thoughts, emotions, and unconscious beliefs. These perceptions are deeply connected to how we experience ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. For example, a mind that is in a state of anxiety may perceive danger or threat everywhere, altering the body’s response systems accordingly.

  • Cellular Perceptual Mirroring: At the cellular level, the body mirrors the mind’s perception. Cells throughout the body, including those in the brain, immune system, and other organs, respond to the mental state by either promoting health or fostering stress, illness, and disharmony. When the mind is stressed or traumatized, the cells might respond by increasing inflammation or suppressing immune function, creating a state of imbalance.

  • Congruence for Healing: For healing to occur, the perceptions of both the mind and the cells need to be congruent—they must align with one another in a state of harmony. If the mind believes in healing and holds a positive, supportive mental framework, but the cells are stuck in a state of stress or illness (due to trauma, negative beliefs, or physical imbalance), healing will be hindered. True recovery happens when both the mind and body perceive wellness, health, and balance. This congruence could be achieved through mental practices (like mindfulness or therapy) that align mental beliefs with cellular health (like promoting cellular regeneration or reducing inflammation).

Mutual Feedback for Alignment: The relationship between the mind and the body is reciprocal. As the mind shifts into a more positive, healing perception, the cells begin to mirror this shift, promoting physical health and well-being. Similarly, when the cells are in a state of health (such as through physical recovery or improved immune function), the mind can perceive more clarity, peace, and resilience. Healing occurs when this feedback loop operates in a balanced, harmonious way.

Our cells are mirrors...

When cells do not have consistent and adequate access to nutrients due to barriers such as access in our modern diet they begin to make compromises to survive.  These compromises create errors and inefficiencies and begin to reduce their overall capacity to perform routine maintenance and self care.  Much like in our our lives when we feel overwhelmed, self care begins to lose priority and over time, this compounds its effects. And similarly, when we need to prepare a meal, but find ourselves lacking the recipe ingredients, we begin to make substitutions- which may not always be ideal.  When this lack of access to nutrients/ingredients becomes prolonged the recipe continually is adapted for what is available which is often not ideal and creates energy lost finding work arounds.  Our cells become depleted and overtime begin to lose capacity from neglect of self care/maintenance processes; their actual voltage begins to drop and it begins to create a downward spiral that is hard to pull out of when critical capacity is lost.  In the same way in our day to day lives, when we are increasingly overwhelmed, dishes and laundry and life chores begin to pile up and add to the sense of overwhelm and depletion.  We too, begin to overlook things that need attention, make compromises just to get into the next day- and overtime that takes a toll on our Mind perception.

As our cells are coping to their best ability given this scarcity and depletion of energetic capacity, insults/injuries/trauma is perceived by the cell membrane and mitochondria.  The cells extracellular environment this looks like various toxicants such as non-native chemicals, microplastics and energetic signals through the Minds perception of danger/threat.  When it perceives these environmental threats, it moves into a process called the Cell Danger Response. This process, first described by Dr. Naviaux, is a cycle of healing response to an insult/trauma, and in order to complete this healing, the cell has different nutritional and energetic requirements.  When these are scarce of unavailable, the cell gets "stuck" in this process and is unable to complete the healing process to reset for the next threat/trauma.  The most critical aspect of getting stuck in this process is that, as a mechanism to alert other cells and preserve the body overall, the cell sacrifices is own ATP (cell made energy) and exports it from the cell (further depleting its capacity to self care/heal) as an alarm "flare" for other cells to begin defending themselves from the threat/trauma.  This beautiful, benevolent act, however can become self sacrifice or doom itself in an environment of scarcity and perceived threat in the inescapable CDR cycle seeding and promoting a state of inflammation and persistent threat signaling propagated throughout the body.  As this persists over time it leads to increased energetic depletion, substitutions/compromises and this is then becomes the root of various symptoms/messages that we become aware of-- and manage/ignore in conventional medicine-- meanwhile this inflammatory message persists and propagates while we symptomatically treat these messages from our cells that we perceive in our mind as an uncomfortable/problematic symptom.

As providers we are nearsighted in our approach, treat this symptom/message by overruling or muting it with medications and miss the opportunity to support the root issue.

The root of all disease is always dysfunction at the cell level.  Depending on a persons genetic propensity and, most importantly, their environmental conditions and perceptions, their cells will adapt to the best of their abilities.  These dysfunctions are manifested in a variety of ways depending on mostly environmental influences.  Much like scattering wildflower seeds in different environments will yield different gardens dependent on the environmental influences such as sun, soil conditions/nutrients available and hydration access.

When cells are in a constant state of alarm they cannot heal, they cannot self care and in time feel too overwhelmed to meet the tasks of each day.  In our Mind, this feels like depression.  It feels like anxiety of being underwater and unable to keep up.  It feels depleting to a point of a bottomless hole that has no way out anymore.  Our cells perception is not different- it mirrors our perception and we mirror its perception.  Our cell/body and psyche/mind perception are mirrors of each other, which is why the convention to only treat one or the other and believe that this will reenable healing, can actually be harmful.

We can interrupt this perpetuated danger response and capacity depletion to the end of symptoms and disease by addressing healing perception of the mind/body in unison.   We can interrupt this cycle and cure symptoms/messages and disease at the root by supporting the cell and providing the signals and support to complete healing cycles and cease perpetuating inefficient alarms.

This conceptual orientation towards healing the Mind/Body through NeuroCellular Congruence is supported through a protocol that seeks to support healthier perception at both the level of the mind as well as the cell, simultaneously.  This can be achieved through essential and supplemental nutrients and dietary modifications and mental health supports through professional or personal guidance and adjunct instruments such as IV Procaine as a critical catalyst for alignment and select  low-dose, short duration, pulsed pharmaceuticals as needed.

Treatment begins with setting the foundational stage for the cells to perceive safety and abundance.  Every individual will begin this journey with different therapeutic histories, symptoms and goals but the foundation for cells to work optimally will begin the same with a base nutrient set.  After this is implemented for 2-4 weeks with consistency, the cells are primed to be supported to accept a catalyst such as IV Procaine, which initiates a "reset" at the cell membrane and a "recharge" of voltage within the intracellular environment that helps provide the increase energetic capacity to fuel the energy that is required for healing processes versus simply basic maintenance that has been inadequately adapted given lack of nutrient abundance for optimal processes and cellular metabolism.

IV Procaine is a unique and restorative catalyst in this treatment protocol.  It is an instrument with specific purposes: one if allows for cellular voltage recharge both as an immediate effect of its metabolism and voltage release as well as it disrupts/resets the membrane perception to allow for the cell to pause its chronic reactivity cycle and restart "self care" processes to heal.  Not only does it have more energy to spend on healing/maintenance but it can mitigate the extracellular loss of ATP through quelling the danger response signaling.

This pause/reset in the context/environment of abundance can support the cells perception of safety and allow it to resume a more normal and regulated response to threats/insults/trauma.

It increases cellular resilience and capacity.

This allows your cells to heal in ways and in a timeline that they have been unable to before.

We use IV Procaine in The NeuroCellular Protocol as this critical catalyst to help break the perpetuated cell danger response and reset the cell to resume its innate abilities to heal and maintain.  It is given in series over weeks of concurrent nutrient abundance and engagement of healing of the psyche perceptual mind in an effort to bring them into alignment and congruence again.  The series of infusions allow for gradual reset and restoration, it provides time for the body to adjust and remember and increasingly build capacity and resilience.  This series of Procaine infusions have a compounding effect, like resetting dominos.  Eventually, if enough threats/traumas are mitigated/reduced the cells can resume their innate patterns and regulated processes that they have adapted over years of multicellular evolutionary processes.

Concurrently, we seek to address the perceptions of the mind and seek to mitigate trauma/insults in the environment while supporting shifting to perceptions to foster healing instead of trauma.  Personal and/or professional guidance on shifting perceptions of the psyche mind to facilitate present healing and increase resilience to future trauma/insults is critical and continual work as many of us have experienced working with our emotional trauma. Adapting our understanding and perceptions of trauma is imperative to restoring health, engaging durable healing and expanding resilient capacity for potential future trauma/insults.

For some individuals, we may consider leveraging low dose and short duration medications to facilitate changes in perception that are conducive to more healthy adaptation to past/current traumas as well as increase resiliency for future trauma/insults to preserve a state of health.
