IV Procaine Infusion

IV Procaine Infusion

Cells mirror the collective tissue and the tissue mirrors the organism. Individual cells have their own perception just as we have our Mind’s perception.  Though they are not directly connected in a way that we can illustrate in an anatomic diagram, they are intimately and inextricably connected and mirror each other.  In the way that we cannot specifically illustrate where our “Mind” is located on an anatomy diagram, but we believe it culminates in the area of the brain so too with our cells and where they have perception that culminates in the membrane.  Both leverage signals from internal and external environments and guide decisions, behavior and communication according to their perception and synthesis of these combined signals.  Both have memory and processing capacity.

In conventional, modern medicine we tend see and treat just the dysfunction of the Mind, forgetting the relationship and mirroring that it share with the Cell and therefore we intervene with medicine that disrupt the homeostasis that the cell has created given its circumstances and perception and overrule its decision making forcing different pathways such as the case with popular psychoactive medications such as the class of Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI’s).  When we change our perception only but not address the signals that are contributing to that perception, we create a chronic medication intervention/suppression which is why if these medications work, they may only work for a while and the symptoms return when the medication is discontinued.  We may also include recommendations to actively work with the Minds perception, such as psychotherapy, which absolutely can be supportive but difficult to reach durable healing for many but nonetheless, it neglects to recognize the Cells perception. When the cells perception is sending signals of danger, hostility, irritability and from that perception is guiding the cells behavior to be defensive and shift resources from resting/repairing that occurs in times of perceived safety and we never address that, the results will usually remain the same: chronic, intermittent  engagement in psychotherapy and chronic symptomatic/ban-aid medication.  It's a lot like feeling the car sputtering because you are running out of gas but covering up the gas gauge.

How do we address the Cells perception in tandem with the Minds perception so that they are mirrored and both addressed concurrently?

Intravenous Procaine is a method that we use to help reset the Cells perception and support it to return to a sense of safety and restore its natural cadence to downregulate into rest/repair and appropriately upregulate into defense as needed instead of always being stuck in a dysregulated state.

Cells can get stuck in a dysregulated state from the constant bombardment of insults/threats ranging from emotional/physical/ chemical/ electro-magnetic/articifical light and more and chronic depletion of nutrients required to mitigate the impacts.  These insults eventually take their toll on the cells function because there is less time for routine maintenance and repair and more dumping of energy into defensive signals and mechanisms. Couple that with lack of adequate nutrients and its easy to get trapped in inadequate cell defense where DNA/RNA mistakes are made and not corrected and the downstream implications of metabolic and neoplastic (cancer) dysregulation.

Procaine is a unique medication in that it induces a voltage reset of cells and specifically nervous system cells/tissue enabling them to reset/ restore their innate healing processes. It is most effective when 1) treatments are in a series that have compounding effects and 2) are coupled with cellular nutrients that ensure the raw materials that the cell needs for repair are available. Procaine can potentially initiate a cellular electrochemical “reboot” allowing the cell to expel toxins/voltage burden it has been carrying and resume healthy activities again. On a tissue level this can equate to nerves, such as the highly connected Vagus nerve, resetting from a hyperstimulated and dysregulated pattern back into appropriate and regulated patterns of signaling.

Significant and durable effects can occur both on a general health and specifically mental health level with treatments.  Each infusion reaches more cells and ultimately tissues to support this restoration.  We always recommend Procaine infusions as an adjunctive treatment in addition to broad cellular nutritional support as well as supporting the change of perception in the Mind with counseling or other therapies.  This is ensuring that the Mind and the Cell perceptions are in sync and not opposition which is what leads to chronic dysregulated systems.

What can I expect for an IV Procaine infusion?

Most people can expect an infusion between 45-90 minutes depending on several factors.  Generally, the infusions are very well tolerated and care is taken that little is “felt” during the infusion though big changes are happening at the cellular level, most are imperceptible to the Mind during the infusion.  Some people experience a generalized sense of warmth or relaxation such as after a glass of wine- but the lack of perceptible experience does not equate to the treatment “not working.”  The effects are typically experienced in the hours and days following the treatment and look a lot like experiencing the “subtle joys” of life that may have fallen out of your experience for some time.  This may be singing to songs again in the car or shower, choosing more uplifting music, playing an instrument or dancing again.  It can look like greater resilience to stressors throughout the day, playing or laughing more easily with loved ones and friends, noticing beauty in others, around us or in ourselves more easily, enjoying foods or activities more so than you have been in a while. Really it is a slow, compounding return of subtle joys and emotional resilience.

How many treatments are recommended?

While everyone's path is different, experience has taught me that most people will have noticeable compounded results that are durable after 4 weekly treatments, though many people have more significant and durable results after 8 treatments.  After an initial series, many people will return on some interval, perhaps monthly, for an infusion to maintain a level of mental/emotional resilience that feels best for them.  Some individuals have deeper trauma and chronic health conditions and need more treatments.

Can I use IV Procaine with other treatments, such as my current mental health prescription?

Generally, yes you can use IV procaine with other prescription treatments but it depends somewhat on the dose and medication.  This will be reviewed in the registration paperwork prior to receiving your first infusions.

What can I expect immediately following an IV procaine treatment?

We ask that you don't begin driving until after about 15 minutes after the infusion concludes.  Procaine is rapidly hydrolyzed in your plasma and further excreted through your kidneys and has a very short half-life and clean metabolites.

How can I enhance my treatment and self care following IV Neural Therapy?

At the time of treatment, you may elect to add-on a preceding infusion of vitamins that have a synergistic effect on treatment.  The benefits are that the nutrients are immediately available to the cells to support their repair and detoxification processes and not subject to challenges in bioavailability with oral supplements that some may be challenged with.  You can also plan to have a light meal with an advanced whole-food based multivitamin/multimineral 1-2 hours beforehand that is supportive to treatment.

What can I expect after the treatment?

Some people feel invigorated after a treatment and feel inspired to be active and others have a sense to regenerate through rest.  Hydration both before the treatment and after is imperative to the process but otherwise the best policy is to let your body guide you on what it needs to feel nourished following treatment.

What should I do/not do before a treatment?

Try not to consume alcohol during your treatment series as I have found that it impedes the results.  Ideally, abstain at least 72 hours prior to an infusion.  If you are routinely taking over the counter medicines, supplements or medications, be sure to let me know so that I can advise if any should be held near the time of infusion.  Generally speaking most will be safe to continue per your usual routine.

Are there specific nutrients that you can recommend that are supportive to IV Procaine Therapy?

If you are interested in augmenting your diet with supplements that foster cell membrane health and regeneration, we can talk about them at your initial consultation or treatment.

Where can I find additional support for therapies to address my Mind’s perception?

If you do not presently have a therapist that you are working with to support your Minds perception, I have several wonderful trauma oriented therapists to whom I can refer you to that offer different areas of specialization ranging from somatic movement practices, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, traditional medicinal approaches, acupuncture, reiki and more and am more than happy to share their contact information with you to begin concurrent therapy.  Additionally, we will plan to update this website so that you can review these individuals and their approaches as well.
